I’m off to Lincolnshire tonight as I promised Joe Drury (my Buddy from the Wales Carp Masters), that I’d go down to Ancaster a day early to help him with the final set-up for this weekend’s Charity Match.
I really wasn’t looking forward to the long, cold nights but now I’ve got my Prologic Max-4 Thermo-wear, at least I won’t get cold. It’s apparently going to be a chilly but fine weekend (temperatures dropping to -2/-3 degrees), but I’ve got plenty of tea, soup and bread on board, so that’ll help!
Martin Cronin is coming over from Newport to fish as my partner and Claire from the Reels on Wheels forum will be acting as our runner for the match (and cooking for us too!). I think we’ll be pretty comfortable!!
I’m going to have fun putting up my new Prologic Spiderdome bivvy for the first time, too. It’s not the putting up, it’s the packing it down again that worries me – LOL! At least Martin and Claire will be on hand to help.
I’ve just had a look at the Prologic front page - that’s a stunning Koi Carp caught by Christopher Paschmanns… roll on next April when the Reels on Wheels French Safari comes around. By the way, we only have 4 places left (possibly only 2), so if you want to come along, you’d better get in quick!
