Beating the Summer Holiday Blues

A staunch Reels on Wheels member – and a great ambassador for angling – Darren Jones, got together with his local fishery to hold a series of matches for Juniors throughout the summer holidays. They were very well attended, despite the lack of sunshine and the whole series was a resounding success.

We supported Darren in this venture because part of our self-imposed remit is to encourage youth and beginners to fish and we sent along some prizes. Read the whole story HERE, and the local paper have a video you can watch on their website HERE.

We’re delighted for (disabled angler) Darren that this was such a success and you only have to look at the proud, smiling faces of the youngsters who participated, to realise just how much they enjoyed their hols. Darren sets a marvellous example and works tirelessly to promote angling and our cause – that of bringing all anglers together… young, old, able-bodied, disabled, beginners and experienced alike.
