Itinerary

Here on this page, you’ll find the links to my posted itinerary each time I set off on another leg of the Road Trip – should make it easier for anyone who wants to know where I’ll be on any given day when I’m out there doing my thing! ;)

2010…..

Following on from the success of this years Festival we are proud to announce that we will be holding the third annual Festival Of Fishing over the weekend of the 5th and 6th of June at the Peterstone Fishery in South Wales. (20 minutes over the bridge)

Martin Cronin has offered us the lakes free of charge and is in the process of making the whole complex accessible to all.

Despite the change in location we hope that as many of you as possible who have supported the Festival in the past will be able to come along and support us again, we will be keeping he cost of the weekend the same at £20 for the whole weekend.

Could all those interested in attending please contact claire@reels-on-wheels.org to check that we have spaces available as we only have the space at Peterstone to accommodate 60 anglers so hopefully the 2010 festival will be even bigger and better than the last two.

All below was completed….

Leave home 30th June and head for Cirencester. Fish South Cerney National Angling Festival on 1st July. Head on up to Bewdley to fish at an unknown location with Des Taylor :) Cancelled due to torrential rain…

Return home for the Environment Agency Day at Bideford Angling Club on Saturday 7th July, with the Buddy Bus in attendance.

Head to Norfolk for my visit to Barford Lakes – arrive on Tuesday 10th, fish at Barford Pleasure Lake on Wednesday 11th July.

Tuesday 24th July – I head to Wales, to Peterstone Fishery near Newport, to practise for the Wales Carp Masters Tournament, which I am fishing with Buddy Joe Drury from Friday 27th – Sunday 29th July (40 hours of non-stop carp fishing!)

Road Trips – August  (so far…)

Arriving at Ferry Meadows Campsite on Tuesday 14th August and fishing the Angling Times Forum Match the following day. (Wednesday 15th August).

After the match, I shall be heading to Yorkshire to fish with Ian Cloke (Disherman’s View) and maybe meet a couple of the famous Barnsley Blacks. I shall be there from Friday till Sunday (17th – 18th August).

:: On Friday 17th August I shall be fishing at Aston Park Fisheries with Ian Cloke, Alex Mitchell and possible a few more of the Barnsley Blacks and the following day I shall be at Barlow Lakes with Ian, hopefully meeting Kevin Miles, too.

I shall be travelling south from there to Kidderminster, where I’ll be meeting Des Taylor for our postponed day’s fishing.  This has again been postponed due to the weather…

On Thursday 23rd August, I shall be in Wales at Peterstone Fishery to fish the last eliminator round of the Wales Carp Masters (maybe Joe & I will have better luck this time!)

September

Saturday 8th September I’m going to be fishing a charity match at The Red Herrings Pub Pond in Coppull, Lancashire to raise funds for Reels on Wheels – thanks to the generosity of a fellow 5Cs member and his local club. To be followed (weather permitting!), by a BBQ and drinks!

On Sunday 9th I head down to The Manderson Trust Lakes to meet up with Charlie Flack and Andy Duffy (and try to catch that big rogue catfish!) Shall be there for at least a couple of days…

October

Sat/Sun 20th/21st October – High profile Charity Carp Match for Reels on Wheels (30 hours) at Ancaster – Woodland Waters, organised by my Buddy Joe Drury and Stephen Drury & Associates.
